Launch of 4th overseas Australia chapter To connect and collaborate with its alumni in Australia, the Alumni Association of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, Coimbatore (SREC) inaugurated its Overseas Chapter in Australia 9th March 2024.. The chapter was officially inaugurated by Thiru D. Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, who also felicitated the attending alumni. Ms. Veena Ramesh, President of the Alumni Association, warmly welcomed everyone. During the ceremony, the office bearers of the Australia chapter were installed, with Ms. Nallini Santhakumar from the 1998 batch taking on the role of President, supported by alumni from various batches. Dr. N. R. Alamelu, the then Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College and former Patron of the Alumni Association, presented updates on the institution’s development and highlighted the crucial support provided by the alumni community. This is the fourth overseas chapter for the association as it already has similar chapters in the US, Europe and Singapore and domestic chapters in Chennai and Bengaluru also. Senior faculty members, alumni from Australia along with family members, also attended the chapter inauguration.
